Swoon’s client is a financial services and mobile payment company based in San Francisco, California and Derrick Deberry, a Customer Service Representative for them spoke to us about his experience since joining their Missouri team. In the conversation, he focused on his journey with Swoon to get there, his love for leadership and how he helps daily to create a conversational, motivational work environment.
He emphasized the topic of leadership as a ‘natural passion’ of his that has been a part of him since enrolling in the military.
“I was able to transfer my leadership skills from being in the military to the office and I think it has really helped me get ahead so far,” said Deberry.
“At the office, we are fond of asking each other for help. I try my best to provide motivation and spark up conversation to make it more of a fun environment too,” he said.
Speaking with him, he made sure to share a special thanks to Justine Phillipson, the Swoon recruiter that helped him ace the application process and land the role. Derrick looks forward to the bright potential opportunity of becoming a full-time employee! Great job Derrick!
