posted by Megan Hari |

This week’s Swoon Tunes are dedicated to our ever so growing and loving squad here at Swoon. Our bowling outing was a huge hit yesterday and made me think of a few tracks of togetherness. Hang around a good group of people this weekend, because we do every day.

– Join Together x The Who

– Let’s Stay Together x Al Green

– You’re my Best Friend x Queen

Swoon Tunes Snow Day

posted by Megan Hari |

Major snowfall here in Chicago brought on a snow day and most likely a snowed-in weekend for us Swooners. This week’s Swoon Tunes are warm and cuddly tunes both old and modern that make staying in not so bad. Grab a blanket and queue up an entire Netflix series for after these 5 tracks. Stay warm and enjoy 😊

1. Terrified x Childish Gambino

2. I’m Gonna Love You Just a Little More x Barry White

3. Pink and White x Frank Ocean

4. Smooth Operator x Sade

5. For the first time x Mac Demarco

Swoon Tunes-Friday 5 at 5

This week’s Swoon Tunes are dedicated to January which started the year off strong but is now coming to an end. These artists performed shows around Chicago in venues such as The Chicago Theatre, Riviera Theatre, Metro and other great places to catch a show. Being a musically cultured company, if you were at any of these shows, you probably danced next to, bumped into or cut a Swooner in line at the bar. Enjoy these tunes as they lead you into the weekend and the rest of the year!

1.St. Vincent – The Strangers

2.Passion Pit – Cuddle Fuddle

3.Tennis – Matrimony

4.Milky Chance – Firebird

5.George Clinton & The P-Funk All Stars – Atomic Dog

’tis the season for love, but Valentine’s Day just isn’t for everyone. So, this week, we’re busting out those groovy tunes for the old flames, heartbreakers, and the ones we can’t stop pining over. But because we at Swoon tend to see the glass half full, we’re finishing this week’s Swoon Tunes off with the one and only, and oh-so-lovely, Sir Stevie Wonder.
– Signed, Sealed, Delivered… Swoon

Mayer Hawthorne – Just ain’t gonna work out

Lauryn Hill – Ex-Factor

The Cardigans – Lovefool

Alton Ellis – I’m Still in Love

Stevie Wonder – Signed, Sealed, Delivered… I’m Yours

Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow meaning 6 more weeks of Winter. Ugh. It’s enough to make us want to crawl under the covers and hide until Spring. But we still have work to do and people to see, so let’s focus on getting motivated by a different set of covers … cover songs. Start your day off right with a little “Twist and Shout” and keep that momentum “shake shake shaking it like a Polaroid picture” throughout the day. 🙂

We hope you have a happy Monday and a strong week!

The Beatles – Twist & Shout

Blue Swede – Hooked on a Feeling

Mark Ronson – Valerie ft. Amy Winehouse

Obadiah Parker – Hey Ya Cover
