Employment Scam
Swoon is aware of ongoing fraudulent activities. Bad actors are falsely claiming to be employees, recruiters, or representatives of our company. These scammers attempt to solicit personal information through fake employment opportunities and falsely represent our company.
These bad actors have purchased similar domain names and email addresses, and have stolen our logos to mislead unsuspecting job seekers. We urge everyone to exercise caution and verify the legitimacy of any communications they receive. Your safety and privacy are our top priorities, and we want to help you protect yourself.
Swoon will never…
- Ask a job seeker to pay a fee for our Placement services or to be hired internally.
- Communicate solely over email, text or chat. Swoon will always speak with you via phone or video conference before being considered for a role.
- Present an offer via email without verbally connecting with you first.
- Ask for Personal Identifiable Information (full SSN, full DOB etc) until you accept our job offer. If and when we need details, all sensitive information is collect via a secure portal.
- Ask you for your bank account information before offer acceptance and ONLY if you elect direct deposit during onboarding.
How to protect yourself…
Verify Communications
Always ensure that any emails or messages claiming to be from our agency come from official company email addresses. Make sure that the emails contain the correct domain (@swoonstaffing.com; @swoontech.com; @swoonconsulting.com; @swoonstaffing.ca; @swoonaustralia.com.au).
Check for Errors
Watch out for misspellings and grammatical errors in messages and within domain names. Check all email addresses allegedly from Swoon or its brands with the email domains above.
Stay Alert
Do not respond to texts from unknown numbers or any others that
appear suspicious, such as texts from an email address.
