A proactive, innovative, proven Leader to own our internal recruiting function with an emphasis on research and data that helps us attract diverse talent in the US, Mexico, Canada, and soon to be Australia. As our growth continues in this post-pandemic world, we recognize the job market is tough and highly competitive, and thus, we need to innovate and support our company’s growth by finding new ways of acquiring talent. We need your senior-level Talent Acquisition experience and intelligence to help us strategize our hiring plans, while we provide a “Swoon’d” candidate experience start-to-finish.
VP of TA Ownership:
Lead internal recruiting team; Director of TA will be a direct report.
Continue the innovative methods and strategies to find new talent, and mentor Director of TA to lead a team of individual contributors across full-cycle recruiting, campus recruiting events & relationship building, reviewing new tools and aides to further our recruitment process.
Drive our DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) committees to build additional hiring goals. Build quarterly hiring goals, and pathways into Swoon, with a focus on acquiring top diverse talent to meet our hiring needs.
Working with Leadership peers, the VP of TA should perform recruiting capacity planning and allocate/hire resources (in-house, agency) to ensure the right resource allocation to support the global business by very closely partnering with Hiring Managers.
Own the development and efficiency of recruiting tactics including: interview process, interviewer training, updated candidate materials (liaise with Marketing), candidate assessments & profile/skill alignments, referrals, internship programs, and campus outreach. Develop programs that are creative, competitive within the staffing industry, attractive to “today’s candidate market”, and that support Swoon’s growth goals.
Cheerlead everyone! The VP of TA will interface with key decision makers, hiring managers/directors, and support of Swoon’s Operations division. The upbeat, positive nature of working with all departments and ability to listen, problem-solve, and negotiate for the good of all Swooners (and candidates) will be part of the responsibility at Swoon.
Champion Swoon’s culture: serving as the “front door” into the company, our TA team provides insight to our culture for every candidate going through our process. The VP should serve as another champion of our culture, the opportunities Swoon provides (with proven examples), and the fierce growth that will be achieved!
Qualified Candidates Should Have:
Ideally 10+ years of experience in recruitment / talent acquisition (staffing not required, but desired)
Minimum 5+ years of leading a team(s) of Recruiters; demonstrated ability to coach and develop talent
Experience scaling a recruiting team/tactics/strategy during a very aggressive growth period
Experience with leading the TA strategy in high-growth geographically distributed tech organizations
Expertise in adopting proven solutions that result in greater DEI hiring efforts (and, contrarily, resolving practices that inhibit DEI in those efforts). Adept at directly challenging leaders on their participation along with recommendations on how to improve.
An understanding of the highly competitive and evolving talent markets (and/or staffing industry)
Willingness to roll up sleeves, embracing an ever-changing dynamic and high-growth environment
Consistent effort and care towards providing the ultimate candidate experience
Experience editing & communicating process changes; a detail-oriented yet flexible approach to problem-solving

Swoon started in Chicago as a technology recruitment firm 12 years ago and since 2010 we’ve expanded our footprint nationwide in the US, Canada, Mexico, and there are other markets on our horizon.
